In Match week 1, Arsenal had a tough away game at Atalanta in a game which saw them secure a 0=0 draw with David Raya making a heroic double save from the penalty spot.
Match week 2 of the Champions League saw Arsenal face Paris Saint Germain (PSG) at The Emirates stadium in North London. PSG was one of the teams tipped to beat Arsenal in the league phase.
In the first half, Leandro Trossard played brilliantly which cumulated in him setting up a cross for Kai Havertz to head home the opener. 15 minutes later, Saka scored from a direct free kick which highlighted the dominance Arsenal have from set pieces. 
The second half saw PSG assert some more dominance in the game leading to them hitting the post twice. However, this half showed what a defensive powerhouse Arsenal are with great solidity from Saliba and Gabriel leading them to the clean sheet. In other news, Mikel Merino made his Arsenal debut and impressed with some powerful tackling.
