Arsenal have completed the signing of versatile Dutch International defender Jurrien Timber from Ajax. In keeping up with the Arteta philosophy, the defender is able to play as a right sided center back as well as an inverted right back.
While he may not be a name that most Arsenal fans were expecting, this is a move that could prove to be shrewd as this is a player only 22 years old. He is strong and has pace on him which will enable him to make recoveries when Arsenal have a high line.
Looking back at seasons before when Rob Holding has failed to step up when called upon after injuries to Ben white and Saliba respectively, Timber surely has an easy route to the hearts of the Arsenal faithful.
