In a season where Arsenal have been touted by many to finally win the Premier League, the pressure was on at the Emirates Stadium (home to Arsenal) as the Gunners hosted a tough Wolverhampton side.
Many Arsenal fans were excited to see their new Italian acquisition Riccardo Calafiori make his debut at right back, but this was not to be as Mikel Arteta (Arsenal manager) opted to stick with a tried and tested team, selecting Zinchenko for the role. This move eventually paid off as Arsenal managed to keep a clean sheet against a stubborn Wolves side, winning by 2 goals to nothing.
Pundits and Arsenal fans have been calling for a new striker during the current transfer window. Many argue that Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz are not able to lead Arsenal to a Premier League title this season. Kai Havertz however had a different opinion as he managed to score his first goal of the season with a sublime header from a gorgeous Bukayo Saka cross.
Bukayo Saka fresh from assisting Kai Havertz, was on the receiving end of a Havertz assist as he cut inside his defender and unleashed a trademark left-footed finish. We are used to his shorts going to the far past but this time, he smashed it into the near corner.
Towards the end of the game, Declan Rice wobbled off with what looked like a case of cramp. That makes one wonder, will Arsenal really win the league with the current squad? Let us know your thoughts.
